Starting January 16, 2018, the SSS has implemented the Real-Time Posting of Contributions which aims to accurately and immediately post Contributions of SSS Members. However, with this implementation, the SSS Voluntary Paying member has to obtain first their Payment Reference Number (PRN) before paying their Contributions.
As an SSS Member, we commend the pursuit of SSS to post contributions in a timely and accurate manner. However, getting the SSS Payment Reference Number first before paying your SSS Contribution has made the process difficult and time consuming. SSS Members believed in the many benefits of being an active SSS member, that is why, they have collaborated and shared the seven different ways on how to get your SSS PRN!
7 Ways to Get Your SSS PRN
1. Get Your SSS PRN quarterly in your SSS registered mobile number
SSS keeps a database of your mobile number which you have filled up in your SSS Registration Form or Benefits application. If the SSS has detected that you are a voluntary paying member, the SSS will send you your Payment Reference Number every quarter based on your last paid contribution.
If you have not yet registered your new mobile number in the SSS Website, you may update your contact information in your SSS Website.

3. Call the SSS Call Center (02) 920-6446 and (02) 917-7777
SSS also has a contact center. However, with the influx of calls nationwide, it maybe hard to push thru in their Contact Center. It is adviced that you call after office hours (SSS Call center operates on 24 hours a day, 5 days a week)!
The customer service officer will ask you of your identification to verify your identity like your SSS Number, Employment History, Date of Birth. Once your identity is established the service officer will give you your PRN.
4. Email SSS Helpline at PRNHelplines@sss.gov.ph or onlineserviceassistance@sss.gov.ph
SSS has an email support, and according to the SSS members, emails are being answered. Though it may take time to get an answer depending on your case.
You may copy-paste this email template when asking for your SSS PRN in email:
Good day SSS Online Service Assistance,
I would like to obtain my SSS PRN for Applicable Month XX-XXXX.
My SS Number is: XX-XXXXXXX-X
My Full Name is: Juana Santos Dela Crus
Make sure to attach a picture of your UMID or any valid ID for your identification.
5. Visit the SSS branch then go to the SSS Tellering Counters to ask for your SSS Payment Reference Number
You may also inquire for PRN in accredited Payment Channels (bank and non-bank) but this doesn’t apply to all SSS Partners.
6. You may go to an SSS Branch and go straight to the E-Center to get your PRN.
There are computer set up in some SSS branch where you can get your SSS PRN first before paying. There will be an SSS staff that will be assisting you to get your SSS PRN.
7. Pay your SSS PRN using the Moneygment App
You can obtain your SSS PRN in the Moneygment App and pay it within the app. However, you cannot use the app to get the PRN then pay it in other channels. The App masks the PRN so that you can only pay it within the app. Paying using the Moneygment App has an app fee (per transaction)and payment channel fee, so it is adviced that you pay quarterly or yearly when using the app to save on the app fee.

After getting your SSS Payment Reference Number, you can pay it in the SSS Branch with Tellering Facility or SSS Accredited Payment Partners
