ABS-CBN posted in August 12 that a Computer glitch wiped out about 5 years worth of Social Security System member contributions records. It went viral that SSS members became worried about their contribution.
The SSS clarified that contrary to reports, the SSS Contribution records for 1985 to 1989 were not wiped out. They were already in the system and were just reposted, paving the way for pension adjustment for qualified pensioners which will be completed in three tranches by June 2017.
The SSS reassured that its record keeping system has several layers of protection. “Apart from the SSS database, member’s records are kept in hard copy and microfilm format. SSS has started the digitization of these records and maintains a disaster recovery site wherein all the SSS records are replicated..
The number of contributions made by an SSS member affects his/her qualification and how much benefits he/she will receive later on. The SSS advised pensioners to contact the SSS to check if they are eligible for back payments.

Hi. i just wanna ask if magkakaroon ba ng conflict ung maternity benefit ko.nakaleave na ako ng jan.5,2018 then nanganak ako ng january 22,2018., nagfile ako ng resignation ko feb.23,2018 then nafile nila ang mat2 ko march 9,2018. im currently working now pero sa bago ko ng company. ask ko lang magkakaroon ba ng conflict un?
