Do you have an intended transaction in SSS, but you can’t personally drop by at SSS Branch? Getting in touch with SSS is now easier because of the several contact medium that SSS has provided for its members and employers.

SSS Hotline Numbers

As of April 2022, SSS Contact Center is available from 7:00AM-10:00PM from Monday to Friday.

Trained and knowledgeable Customer Representatives will answer your call. Some has reported that it is hard to connect to SSS Hotline during daytime, so it is advised that you call very early in the morning or late at night to avoid the influx of callers.

There is an identity verification process which will necessitate presenting your SSS Number (so better make it ready before you call). In case you are not aware of your own SSS Number and do not have a reference for it, do not worry, as they will ask for other distinguishing information such as your Full Name, Mother’s Maiden Name, latest Employer, etc.

IVRS Hotline Numbers

IVRS stands for Interactive Voice Response System which is an automated system that will answer your basic SSS-related questions like your last Contributions, Status of Benefit or Loan Application, your Loan Balance, etc. IVRS is just like the telephone sequence that first answers you whenever you are calling at your Telecom Provider. The IVRS is a viable option if your inquiry is only about the exact number of your Contribution, Loan Balance, Status of Benefit, or those that can be queried from a computer because basically the IVRS is runned by a computer. If your concern is about the “complicated” case of your claim or you need someone to explain to you about your benefit application, then it is better that you contact SSS thru the SSS Hotline.

SSS members who are currently from abroad can also directly reach the agency for their SSS-related concerns, thanks to the international toll-free numbers. However, only a handful of select countries from Asia, Middle-East, and Europe are supported for this call which are divided as follows:

Text SSS – SSS SMS Inquiry

If you do not have an access to a landline to make a phone to any of SSS Hotline Numbers, you can now also get in contact with SSS using your mobile phone via texts.

However, using TextSSS Service is not free— you will be charged Php2.50 for every SMS you send as part of the transaction. This is significantly more expensive than your average casual SMS to family and friends.

To kickstart your SSS inquiry via SMS, simply text “SSS” (without the quotes) and send it to “2600.” Initially, you will be prompted to register your SSS Number with your mobile phone. Follow the following format to register:

  • SSS REG <SSS Number> <Date of Birth MM/DD/YYYY>
  • For example:  SSS REG 0123456789 01/10/1980

This is done by sending a string of texts based on the format:

If done correctly, you should be getting a reply from the number “2600” which provides you instruction on how to proceed with the steps, relative to your concern. The instruction is relatively streamlined and easy-to-follow.

For instance, if you have a concern regarding your contribution, you can simply text “SSS 1” (“1” being an indicator for “Contributions”) or go for something more elaborate as “SSS Contributions” to 2600.

Every SMS transaction will costs you P2.50 from your existing pre-paid load. Make sure that you have sufficient load balance and you do the keyword as exact and accurate as possible so that you will avoid Invalid transaction.

It is also advisable that you update your SSS Contact Information especially your Mobile Number so that you will receive updates from SSS regarding the posting of your contribution, status of benefit application, etc.

The SSS Facebook Page is active and is being maintained by SSS Employees. It is observed that SSS Support Service are also answering queries posted in their SSS Facebook Page, so contacting them in FB is convenient (especially if you are using a Free FB). Just make sure to not leave your pertinent SSS Information like SS Number, Name and Birthdate as you may expose yourself from Identity Theft and other internet related crimes.

Make sure to state your concern clearly, and state your SS Number, Name and attach an ID as proof of their Identity for their verification. Based on experience, it may take a while for them to answer on the email inquiries of member maybe because of the huge number of emails they are receiving everyday. So make sure to follow up your concern on the same thread.

Beware of Scammers!

SSS is advising to its member to be keen about Scammers and Fixers. Most SSS Transactions are free (except from SSS UMID Replacement) so do not entertain people who are offering Help on SSS Services (for a minimal fee) to make your SSS Transactions faster. There is no Rush SSS UMID application, as opposed to those being offered by scammers online. Do not give away your SSS Information.
