Helpful tips when transacting to SSS Branch

  1. Decide on your intended transaction. Will you be applying for an SSS Number, change your Beneficiaries? Will you be applying for an SSS Benefit or a Loan program? Limit your intended transaction to one to two transaction, because chances are your time will be consumed waiting for your turn to be called in the SSS counter.
  2. Research first online or ask your friends or colleagues who have already transacted with SSS, if there is an alternative way to transact with SSS like thru the SSS Website, Text-SSS, or can the transaction be done thru your Employer. Be vigilant if there will be people offering you to transact with SSS in your behalf because chances are, they are a Fixer.
We’ve listed here the transactions you can do with:

If there are really no way aside from going to SSS Branch, or you just decided to go to transact personally,  visit first the SSS Website and browse the SSS Downloadable Form. Find the applicable SSS Form for your transaction. Download then Print. The Forms are organized according to the type of Employer and Member Forms, and to the type of Transaction (e.g Membership, Benefits). Some transactions like the Application for Loan Restructuring Program may need two separate forms (e.g Application Form, Affidavit of Residency Template) so make sure to download it also.

  3. Accomplish it in blank and in one copy. But it is also wise to have an extra copy of the form just in case you mistakenly filled up the form. Make sure to read the instructions at the bottom of the Form because Guidelines and Instructions are all there. Make sure to bring the copy of your ID, Notarized Affidavit (if any), or Letter of Authority (if any).
  4. Go to SSS Branch near you. You do not have to go to big SSS Branch especially located in Manila for you to transact. If there are Robinsons Malls near you, chances are there are small SSS Branches there that may accommodate your concern or receive your SSS Applications. Go to the SSS early and make sure to get your Queueing Number at the SSS Guard.  Bring snacks and water. Bring also your handheld fan just in case when an SSS Branch does not have a nice ventilation.Related Articles:

  5. Wait for your number to be called on the designated SSS Counter.
  6. If it is already your turn, be attentive to the instruction of the SSS Counter. If there are other requirements that will be needed, take it down. Do not be afraid to ask for questions and clarifications especially if you didn’t get it.
  7. Ask the SSS Counter if there is a hotline or a contact person you can reach on their SSS Branch just in case you will have to follow up.
