Were your files misplaced, stolen or are washed out by a flash flood? Or it just happen that you obtained an SS Number long time ago and now you wanted to continue contributing for your SSS but unfortunately, you forgot your SS Number now. What to do then, if you forgot your SSS Number?
Should I secure a new SS Number?
No. A big NO! The SS number assigned to you (SSS member) is the lifetime number and must always be used in all your transactions with the SSS. If you wish to know your SSS Number, you may:
- visit your nearest SSS Branch
- Call the SSS Hotline
- Email their Online Service Helpdesk at member_relations@sss.gov.ph or onlineserviceassistance@sss.gov.ph
Present (if personal) or attach a copy of your valid ID (if mail) as proof of your identity.
If you already know your forgotten SSS Number and wishes to replace a lost or apply for an SS ID Card, go to your nearest SSS Branch, fill up their requirements and have your biometrics taken.
What will happen if I obtained a new SS Number and now have a multiple SS Number?
You should never secure another SS Number, as having multiple SS numbers will cause delays in the processing of future benefit claims and loan applications.
But, If it is now too late and you now have more than one SS number, you should visit the SSS servicing branch to request for the cancellation of the other number/s and the consolidation of all contributions under the retained number. From then on, the retained SS number should be used in all transactions with the SSS.

Bakit po ganon pumunta ako sa sss binondo kasi nakalimutan ko yong ss number ko po ayaw nila ibigay sa akin yong number kahit nagpakita po ako ng nso birth cert.
