How to File for SSS Maternity Benefit (MAT2) in SSS Website for female Self Employed, Voluntary, OFW, Non Working Spouse and Members Separated from Employers?

Giving Birth soon? Here’s a step by step guide on on How to File for SSS Maternity Benefit Application (MAT2) via My.SSS Website. This guide is for all female Self Employed (SE), Voluntary Members (VMs), Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs), Non-Working Spouses (NWS) and Members Separated from Employment.

Pre-requisite for Online Application:

  1. Registered My.SSS account in the SSS Website; and
  2. Disbursement account enrolled in the Disbursement Account Enrollment Module (DAEM) in the My.SSS portal of the SSS Website. If you have not yet enrolled your disbursement account, here’s the tutorial on how to enroll your Disbursement Account on your SSS online account.

If you are presently employed, your employer should be the one to file for your SSS Maternity Benefit Reimbursement thru their Employer SSS Account.

How to File for SSS Maternity Benefit (MAT2) in SSS Website for female Self Employed, Voluntary, OFW, Non Working Spouse and Members Separated from Employers?

1. Login to your My.SSS account

2. After successfully logging in, click the “Submit Maternity Benefit Application” under the E-Services Tab.

3. Read the important reminders, then click “Proceed” to continue.

Important Reminders:

  • The Maternity Benefit Application page is for Self Employed/ Voluntary Members / OFW / Non Working Spouse / Member Separated from Employment.
  • Please ensure that all your supporting documents are complete before you proceed to use the facility.
  • Make sure that your contact information with SSS is updated.
  • If qualified, proceeds of the Maternity Benefit will be deposited to your disbursement account. Hence, please ensure that your disbursement account name and SSS registered name are the same. If you have no record of disbursement account with SSS, update your Disbursement Account.

4. Supply all required information then click “Proceed” for the validation of submitted information and confirmation of your eligibility to Maternity Benefit.

5. Supply additional information, such as Type of Claim and Disbursement Account. Click “Proceed”.

6. Upload the required supporting document/s such as Certificate of Live Birth, Solo Parent ID etc. Ensure that all documents are clear and readable, and the file sizes do not exceed the 2MB limit for faster uploading. Read and understand the certification portion, then click “I Certify and Submit” to proceed.

7. The generated Transaction Number shall be displayed. A notification about your submitted MBA shall be sent to your registered email address.

How to File for adjustment of SSS Maternity Benefit

The following cases for adjustment may also be filed online:

  • Member is qualified as a solo parent
  • Correction of type of claim
    • From Normal to Caesarian Section (CS) delivery; or
    • From Miscarriage to Ectopic Pregnancy with Operation
  • SSS computation is higher than employer’s computation.
  • Additional posted contributions will increase the amount of benefit
  • Correction of the approved number of days from 60 (normal delivery) or 78 (CS delivery) days to 105 days.
  • Allocated leave credits not used due to separation from employer of the child’s father or qualified caregiver.

How to File for Adjustment of SSS Maternity Benefit for female Self Employed, Voluntary, OFW, Non Working Spouse and Members Separated from Employers?

  1. Login to your My.SSS Account.

2. Click the “Adjustment of Maternity Benefit” under the E-Services Tab.

3. Read the important reminders, then click “Proceed” to continue.

4. Supply the required information then click “Proceed” for the validation of submitted information and confirmation of your eligibility to Maternity Benefit.

5. Supply additional information such as Disbursement Account and Reason for Adjustment. Click “Proceed”.

6. Upload the required supporting document/s such as Certificate of Live Birth, Solo Parent ID etc. Ensure that all documents are clear and readable, and the file sizes do not exceed the 2MB limit for faster uploading. Read and understand the certification portion, then click “I Certify and Submit”.

7. The generated Transaction Number shall be displayed about your submitted MBA shall also be sent to your registered email address.

  • There is no e-services tab in the portal. If you have updated the portal make sure your guidelines is synchronized. Also problem in logging in on the portal and on the application. It just fails. Your IT staffs are being payed to do their job. Make sure before releasing it to public it is convenient, not stressful.
